Suspended between the rolling hills of the Chianti countryside and the nearby city of Florence, Villa Vallombrosa is an estate of rare beauty where history, nature and hospitality come together in perfect harmony. Surrounded by approximately 53 hectares of fields, woodland and olive groves, this elegant 18th-century residence offers an authentic Tuscan experience shaped by the scent of freshly pressed olive oil, the quiet presence of cypress trees and the gentle rhythm of life in the countryside.
Once a noble residence, the villa is today a refined agriturismo comprising 35 apartments and approximately 85 guest beds, distributed across three historic buildings that have been carefully restored. Each interior preserves the character of the past—exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors and traditional stone walls—combined with modern comforts that ensure a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
The main villa, the vibrant heart of the estate, welcomes guests with warmth and authenticity. Here are located the principal apartments, the reception area and the historic cellars where the estate’s olive oil is stored. Adjacent to the villa, the restaurant celebrates traditional Tuscan cuisine prepared with local ingredients and accompanied by wines from the renowned Chianti Rufina area.
Two additional stone farmhouses complete the hospitality complex. One hosts the owners’ private residence together with six guest apartments, while the other accommodates twelve independent units surrounded by greenery. Each residence reflects the understated elegance of rural Tuscan life, framed by vine-covered pergolas and open views across olive groves and wooded hills.
An intimate 18th-century private chapel adds further charm to the estate, offering a romantic and evocative setting for weddings and exclusive events.
Outdoors, the villa’s historic garden unfolds through pathways, flowerbeds and quiet corners designed for relaxation. A panoramic swimming pool with hydromassage, a sports field and a children’s play area complete the facilities dedicated to leisure and wellbeing.
The estate’s agricultural vocation is expressed through an 18-hectare olive grove with over 5,000 trees of the Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo varieties, producing approximately 4,500 litres of organic extra virgin olive oil each year under the IGP Colline di Firenze designation.
Certified organic since 2014 and supported by renewable energy systems including photovoltaic panels and a biomass heating plant, Villa Vallombrosa represents a harmonious blend of history, landscape and sustainable living in the heart of Tuscany.
